Remembering 9/11

Honoring the amazing courage, strength and spirit of the American people.

The devastating events of Sept. 11, 2001, brought a nation together. Ten years later, the Dignity Memorial network commemorated the anniversary of 9/11 with events, memorial services and tributes across the country.

As part of the commemoration, the Dignity Memorial network has formed a partnership with Project Rebirth to screen the film REBIRTH at dozens of locations throughout the country and to create workshops to educate key community members about traumatic grief and the recovery process.

A partnership with Legacy.com allows for digital guest book entries to be recorded in the National Book of Remembrance. Through these means, the Dignity Memorial network and its partners are committed to continuing to honor the individuals who have been affected and the memories of those we lost that tragic day.

Where Were You On 9/11?

Where were you? It's the question we ask each other. 9/11 transformed us all.  We asked Dignity Memorial associates to share their thoughts about 9/11, how they managed grief and the importance of memorializing.

The movie REBIRTH, by Project Rebirth, captures the rebirth of Ground Zero and tells the story of five lives touched and transformed by the events of 9/11.
